  The myth of the sun and moon


In ancient times, when there was the day and everything was dark, only the stars lit up the sad life of the inhabitants of the world. It was very difficult to perform everyday tasks, the soil was fertile and very cold.
One day a poor woman had two sons who shone with a bright light, a girl named Tima which a child and she named Yui. Such was the brilliance of the children, who burned and blinded to all who watched. The greatest fear of the mother was that the villagers were aware of the existence of children and wanted to capture, so I took refuge in a cave, where they hid them. There he lived with them, away from the wickedness of the people.
On one occasion, before leaving them to find food they said, 'Do not leave the cave, it is not safe outside. But the little Tima not obeyed and left the cave just in time passing villagers. She was startled to see them and ran inside, but it was too late, they had already seen.

A Yui is known as the Bunkakukui Kaku, sun god and creator of the first day, and his grieving mother Atij'uiriva be known as the mother of light. Since then Yui Tima and sweep across the sky giving light to the day and night, joining from time to time to greet his mother looks on from Earth.
